Shoe inserts for heel pain?
My heels begin to hurt really bad when I%26#039;ve been standing/walking for a long time. I walk military style(old habit) meaning I roll my feet, heel to toe. So my heels tak a lot of my weight.
What are some good inserts for my boots? No Dr.Scholl%26#039;s massaging gel please, I used them already, they were a joke to my feet.

Anyway, ice the area a couple of times a day or after activities like running. Put the ice in some water. You only want to have enough to cover the part that is hurting. Wear shoes with good arch support. You also want a shoe with a rocking heel. That keeps you from putting all your weight on your heels---takes the pressure off. Stretch our your achilles heel as well.
The pads can be bought at stores carrying foot products...they are heel lifts. If you can%26#039;t find one that works for you, then try seeing a podiatrist.

Need help its getting out of control?
I have been at my job for 7 months now and I love my job and everything that I do but, I have had a problem with the ONLY 2 employees that work in the office with me, they make it so obvious that they are having an affair. Both of them are married and his wife is even is friends with her! It really makes me uncomfortable and they have increasingly made all of this more obvious. The man in this affair and is my direct boss and her direct boss. Because of the affair she has free rein and can make any and all of the decisions. She goes and gets her hair and nails done during the day, can come in and out as she pleases and I just don’t see how this is fair to me when I feel like I work so hard but will never even get recognized because I am not sleeping with him.
It all became obvious to me when I noticed how well they knew each other and could tell me things that you normally wouldn’t hear coworkers knowing about each other such as, He (her talking about the boss) claims to have the softest lips ever and swears it’s because he doesn’t wear chap stick. One day the boss man asked the other woman if she would help him find a file upstairs in the storage. So they went out and closed the door and disappeared for 10mins returned with nothing in hand and she went straight to the bathroom. Next I walked by her office and glanced over to see him massaging her shoulders. He is always in her office and it doesn’t sound like they are talking sometime whispers. Another time I walked to my desk on a Monday morning and didn’t notice anything until she walked in the door (an Hour late) and asked what was on my wall. When I looked around there were two shoe prints. My legs are not long enough to touch the wall when sitting on my desk my feet are only a couple of inches from touching the wall. (She is way taller than I am) The fact that I didn’t notice but she did the sec. she walked in make me wonder. While in conversation with me they began talking about (exact words) “ (her)flavored paper towels, (him) a thing that slides into the other thing to make it work, (her) he can pin on the wall” , more was said it’s just too much to say.
Basically I just want to know what I can do to get this to stop. I do work for a big company (nationwide) but I know that we don’t have one person to go to for Ethics Issues. Also both of them have been there a while and I am the newbie and the fact that I am in a different “field” of the company. What do you suppose is wrong with my cocker spaniel?
She loves to chase squirrels and play ball but I took her to play ball yesterday and after eagerly chasing down the ball, she put her tail between her legs and went straight back to the car (I have a hard time normally getting her to come back to the car). She now curls up in the shoe closet and can%26#039;t get up on the bed and I had to lift her into the car to go for a walk tonight. When she jumped out of the car, she squelled. She seems to labor going up and down stairs but does not favor any legs or anything. This is the 4th time this has happened in the past year and she seems OK after about a week (although last time it was more like 2). I have massaged all over her muscles and stomach and nothing seems to make her whimper. I assume she has been pulling a shoulder muscle or something?? Does this sound right? What do you think it is? Is there anything I can do? She seems pretty listless and in discomfort. Do you think it requires vet attention? Should I stop running her?

Going all quiet when exercising probably means she was in some pain - and squealing as she jumps out of the car is pretty classic. The cruciate ligament is in the dog%26#039;s stifle (back leg knee joint) and you would not be able to illicit a response from simple massage if the cruciate was in early stages of rupture - only a vet can detect this with the right manipulation. It%26#039;s only when the ligament is completely gone that the dog loses use of the leg and will be in pain to the touch.
Spinal problems are also likely if the location of the pain seems difficult to pin down and seems to occur at random times.
Do take the dog to the vet. You say she seems listless and discomfort - she does need to be seen. Don%26#039;t get in a panic, spinal problems may be manageable with meds, and cruciate ruptures are very common. She does definitely need a vet visit - this problem is only going to continue cropping up, and is only going to get worse without attention.

He wears name brand causual clothes like Prada, Christian Dior, Dolce %26amp; gabbana all the time.. Same brands for colognes!! He gets chemical facial peels from time to time, he always brushing and putting grease in his hair... He has all truck load of skin products.. Hello everyone. I have a 3 1/2 year old son! He complains of his feet hurting at least once every two weeks! This only happens at night time when he is sleeping! At first I thought...%26quot;Maybe his feet fell asleep.%26quot; But I do not think that is the case! The only thing that relieves the pain is Motron and massaging his feet!
Has anyone experienced this with their children? Any ideas of the cause?
I should Include that he wears a size 12 shoe....so his feet are not huge but not little!

There is a senior in my science class that sits in front of me and I am a Junior. I like to get line-ups, get my toes done, facials (my wife%26#039;s idea), shine and clean my shoes and dry clean all my jeans and shirts. I even wash my car everyweekend so I look sharp when i hit hot spots. Sometimes i splurge everynow and then with massages. I am happily married with a baby on the way, so why the sterotyping?

I can say that for me, machismo from any culture, including my own, creeps me out (as do huge muscles...ick!). I have always preferred men with a slight build who are slightly less masculine. They are generally, nicer, kinder and more sensitive to women. They also make great husbands, fathers and friends to men %26amp; women. Don%26#039;t get me wrong, there are plenty of big masculine guys out there that are kind %26amp; sensitive, I guess the problem is that many of the more masculine guys slide into the expectation for others like them and follow the stereotype that goes towards being %26quot;ultra male%26quot;.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone automatically slaps a stereotypical label on another person solely based on looks and mannerisms. People don%26#039;t seem to realize what sort of influence that can have for good or bad. Not only that but they are also reinforcing same stereotypes in their own psyche. We all have problems, trials %26amp; childhood issues but in the end none of that matters. We ultimately decide where we are going in life and who we will be.

He says that sometimes it can take about an hour to get a really good reading. I have a mother, 53 years old that suffers from hypothryroidism, and it is a ***** to live with, she has severe mood swings because of this, and she becomes lethargic when too much preesure is applied in her work, so it is a very important problem, and one I hope that has a easy outcome... because HRT%26#039;s dont work properly and affects the homeostaic balance of other hormones...which of course has other repercussions, as well as the added danger of accelerated carcinogenic growths...
Please get this through... there are people out there that need you. I believe a holistic and less agressive approach would be very effective. but of course the medical world is run by the Basel based pharmaceutical companies... so unless you can prove a substantial monetary value of such a treatment I am afraid you will fight an uphill battle.

so i am a very hardcore runner, i run cross country, track and train even in the off seasons.
i am a 15 yr old girl who is in good shape
hoewever, ever since cross country season ended (mid november) i have been having probelms with my ITB
At first it was bothering me on my hip and i had to go to weekly massages (that hurt really bad) and i was stretching, roling and doing strengthening exercises. i still ran.
it has been better for the past 2 months.
however, recently i have been feeling pain in my knee and i have kept up my exercise
yesterday i was running hurdels and i took a step to start my workout and i heard and felt a %26#039;pop%26#039; at my knee. it hurt super bad.
i immediatly iced and stretched it out, but it hurt so bad
today it still hurts VERY bad, and especially hurts to bend my knee or put pressure on it, my hip is also feeling a little sore.
i stretch and do drills before running ALL the time, i get new good running shoes every 2 months and i take good care.

Why do I have numbess in my toes?
I recently went out dancing with my husband. After about 5 1/2 hours I took my shoes off to sore and numb toes. I thought it was just because I wasn%26#039;t use to wearing heels and it would go away. It%26#039;s been a 6 days now and my toes are still numb and tingly. I can walk with no pain but it%26#039;s uncomfortable and bothersim. Did I cause nerve damage? The tingling is mostly in the last 3 toes. I have massaged them, soaked in hot water and elevated them. Nothing seems to work. I am very concerned and would like to know what is going on. WilI the numbness and tingling will ever go away? What should I do? I do hope there is an answer for me, I would love to hear what it is, how it was caused and what i can do to make it go away. Thank you soo much!

Why are girls so concerned with their feet? Truthfully, what are you thinking when you wear flip flops all summer long, or when you put on those high heels when you go out?

Well as a girl, I dont find my feet as particulary arousing, and most of the time I wear flip flops its more for the comfort factor. I do believe though that my feet, along with all of my body, deserve to be pampered with pedicures and such. Making our feet look good is more for ourselves than for guys. When we wear high heels it%26#039;s usually to accentuate our outfit, to make our over all look more enticing. Unknown foot pain.?
Pain shoots around outer ankle down into toes, then swells there or move over top of foot. I am seeing my sixth doctor. It is not morton neuroma, nor any pinched nerve. Curculation is fine as well as bones. (doctor%26#039;s ruled all of these out.) What has helped is physical therapy... but after a week, the pain returns. Also, stretching helps sometimes. Staying off my feet really helps, as well as massaging it.
If you have any ideas, please suggest. I am in my sixth month of pain.
I was wearing tighter shoes sixth months ago, and running in them, as well as walking in them. Pain started shortly after...

Sometimes arthritis in the back, herniated disc, sacroiliac dysfunction can cause pain, numbness and/or tingling to radiate down into the leg and/or foot (known as radiculopathy). I had severe foot pain radiating like yours and as soon as I put on the orthotics the pain went away and my feet and legs aren%26#039;t as tired as they use to be. He suggested to me too, ice 10 minutes and then rest for 10 minutes when the swelling was there. I had to do this while I waited for my orthotics to come in. Took 4 weeks, but pain free now!

How I Served My Community
Yo, what up? It%26#039;s me Spencer! So I%26#039;m writing to you from Officer Carl%26#039;s laptop. Do you remember Officer Carl? He was the cop that almost arrested me last year cuz the sign I made for iCarly went kooky and ended up saying %26quot;Pee on Carl%26quot; -- and cuz it caused like 50 car crashes. I hope Officer Carl doesn%26#039;t mind that I borrowed his laptop. He%26#039;s in the bathroom (He%26#039;s been in there for a LONG time). Anyway, I%26#039;m in his office cuz I had to do 8 hours of community service. Why, you ask?? Because I REFUSE to pay my bicycle parking ticket!!! I got the ticket because I parked in a handicap spot. I tried to explain to Officer Carl that the definition of handicap means: A physical or mental problem that makes life more difficult. Um, excuse me, I had a MAJOR butt cramp that was making my life very difficult and I didn%26#039;t want to walk all the way across the street because the vibrations from walking caused my butt to throb and quiver oddly. Who wants THAT?!? Uh, NO ONE. Okay, so I finally finished my community service (I%26#039;m about to report all of it to Officer Carl). Here%26#039;s all the stuff I did to serve my community.
Hour One:
I picked up trash on the side of the road. THIS WAS FUN. I got a lotta stuff for my sculptures. It was really hard carrying it home 3 miles though. Officer Carl wouldn%26#039;t let me in his police car with the monster-truck wheel that I found. P.S. I also found a toothbrush with blood on it (someone needs to floss more!).
Hour Two:
I had to clean the ladies%26#039; bathroom at a rest stop. Umm...no one told the ladies that I was going in there. So one lady (a really big one) knocked me down and then another smaller lady (I think her name was Lucille) beat me with her umbrella while the bigger, fleshier lady held me down on the ladies%26#039; room floor. Man, ladies can be mean when they are in the restroom!
Hour Three:
I had to hold a %26quot;Leeches Anonymous%26quot; support group in my house. It%26#039;s for people who are addicted to putting leeches all over their body -- you know those blood-sucking worms. Yuck! Well, anyway, I think some of the leeches got lost and now Carly and I have to sleep with the lights on!
Hour Four:
This hour was a full 60 minutes of Random Acts of Kindness. The first thing I did was stand on the side of the road and compliment people. There was one guy who had a very shiny head. I told him his head was nice and shiny. He responded by punching me in the neck. So I yanked his pants down and ran away.

How I Served My Community
Yo, what up? It%26#039;s me Spencer! So I%26#039;m writing to you from Officer Carl%26#039;s laptop. Do you remember Officer Carl? He was the cop that almost arrested me last year cuz the sign I made for iCarly went kooky and ended up saying %26quot;Pee on Carl%26quot; -- and cuz it caused like 50 car crashes. I hope Officer Carl doesn%26#039;t mind that I borrowed his laptop. He%26#039;s in the bathroom (He%26#039;s been in there for a LONG time). Anyway, I%26#039;m in his office cuz I had to do 8 hours of community service. Why, you ask?? Because I REFUSE to pay my bicycle parking ticket!!! I got the ticket because I parked in a handicap spot. I tried to explain to Officer Carl that the definition of handicap means: A physical or mental problem that makes life more difficult. Um, excuse me, I had a MAJOR butt cramp that was making my life very difficult and I didn%26#039;t want to walk all the way across the street because the vibrations from walking caused my butt to throb and quiver oddly. Who wants THAT?!? Uh, NO ONE. Okay, so I finally finished my community service (I%26#039;m about to report all of it to Officer Carl). Here%26#039;s all the stuff I did to serve my community.
Hour One:

Man, ladies can be mean when they are in the restroom!
Hour Three:
I had to hold a %26quot;Leeches Anonymous%26quot; support group in my house. It%26#039;s for people who are addicted to putting leeches all over their body -- you know those blood-sucking worms. Yuck! Well, anyway, I think some of the leeches got lost and now Carly and I have to sleep with the lights on!
Hour Four:
This hour was a full 60 minutes of Random Acts of Kindness. The first thing I did was stand on the side of the road and compliment people. There was one guy who had a very shiny head. Where would you do for your mom on her 60th birthday?
My mommy means the world to me. and you only turn 60 once in your life. She loves to read books, and has written a couple of unpublished fantasy novels. She is also a jewelry designer, and works for the gov full-time. One of her LOVES is raw gem stones. I would LOVE to take her to Arkansas to the ONLY open diamond mine in America or to a place that you can mine your own semi-precious gems (sapphires, opals, emeralds, etc).Her birthday is also in March, so I want to take her somewhere before it got really hot.She%26#039;s not into anything that%26#039;s to girly like shopping for clothing, shoes, or makeup, (except her jewelry business). I had thought about taking her for a long weekend to a resort where she could get facials,manicures, pedicures, massages.Taking her to favorite bead shop and giving her a $1,000 and let her buy to her hearts content. Whether you are a beginning digger or an experienced rockhound, you are sure to find a spot at the various mines well suited for you.
At some crystal mines, there are areas where crystals are literally lying on the ground and all you have to do is pick them up. Often the only equipment needed is a screwdriver or a small garden tool to loosen the dirt and a bucket to hold the Arkansas crystals. For avid rockhounds, there are also spots where experience and patience are needed along with a crowbar or chisel. Regardless of the area you dig in, it is best to wear old clothes and shoes because you will get dirty. Although most crystal mines allow people to dig for crystals year-round, the best time of year to mine is during the spring and fall when temperatures are cool.
I think that doing all of that with your mother is a more than AWSOME gift. I think that she would really enjoy it. Have fun and I hope she likes it.

My right ankle hurts! what should i do??
I did not fall or anything. 3 weeks ago, my ankle on my right food (on the left side) has been painful %26amp; aching. I can walk fine, but after a long walk or even walking in the mall, it becomes pretty painful. I%26#039;ve never sprained it or broke it before. I wear high heels every day, since it started to hurt, I decided to wear flat shoes till it got better. But it has NOT gotten better. It looks normal, it%26#039;s not bruised or swollen, but the area where the bone is feels so sore. What should i do?? I%26#039;ve applied Icy Hot, ice %26amp; massaged it, but the next day, it%26#039;s the same pain all over again.

Heat pack (since there is no swelling) twice a day for 20 min. Massage helps also. If after three days, the pain hasn%26#039;t lessened or got worse, go see a doctor or specialist, because an x-ray may be required to see what%26#039;s wrong with your foot.

Tried almost everything for lower back pain with no relief - help!?
Can%26#039;t seem to find solution to lower back pain.
Diagnoses: (1) mild stenosis, spondyleosis - L4 level, minimal annular bulging - MRI shows mild problem (2) neurologist - not neurlogical (2) back specialist - not significant problem (3) current diagnosis: pelvic misallingment :prescribed excercises, losing weight, stress reduction, wear lift in left shoe as left leg 1/2 inch shorter
Failed remedies: (1) numerous incl. pain-killers (2400 mg ibuprofen/advil, oral steroids, muscle relaxants, viox, prioxicam, (2) conventional physical therapy, including electro-stim, hot and cold packs (3) currently, pelvic misallingment therapy has worsened problem, constant pain regardless of sitting.
Description of pain: originally only when long driving, later sciatica more recently lower back when sitting now sharp in lower back/butt all times.
Q: Suggestions? own experience? Continue leg inserts/current therapy? Acupuncture? Injections? Spinal decompression? Deep tissue massage? Other?

I understand *exactly* what you are experiencing. The long drives, the sitting down -- both can be excruciating.
What has helped me are the following:
Pelvic tilts morning and night
Stretching of the outer hips by bringing leg across abdomen
ACCUPUNCTURE!!
Deep tissue massage
Hot baths
Getting up and walking
I haven%26#039;t found much relief with painkillers except for ibuprofen (which unfortunately doesn%26#039;t seem to work for you!)
Reply:i have the same problem i took vicodon and flexeril%26#039;s with motrin for three years didn%26#039;t help once i stopped the pain killers it seemed to help a little,strange but true
Reply:See a pain management speicalist. They can work with you on a pharmacological regimen that offers the most relief with the fewest side effects, as well as other modalities like nerve block, TENS unit, etc. to complement the meds. Pain docs will precribe meds that other docs are leery of, and there%26#039;s bound to be something out there that can help. Good luck, no one deserves to be in pain!

i sympathize with you as i am tending to the same problem right now myself. have had back pain for years, it got to where i needed help. finally started seeing a chiropractor... it was very hard at first after the first adjustments...the surrounding muscles were very painful for days. my pain was worse. he told me it would be that way so the warning was a good thing to know. he also suggests acupuncture in addition to seeing him, i haven%26#039;t done that yet. i strongly suggest that you get rid of the insert, for your shoe... i too have one leg shorter and was given one.. oh my the pain was excruciating from that. had all the muscles so flared up. and i also suggest no injections, their effect does not last and they have risky side effects. i hope this helped. :)

Reply:I have degenerative disc disease and am going through the same thing. It seems to be a little help there if you can get to a back specialist and see if he will inject a spinal into the back I believe it is called cortisone and it should give you at least some relief.
Yes there are some that do not get relief but its worth the try. I have been pain free most of the time with this treatment. Need the injection every 6 months, or so.

Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.
Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.
The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

Diagnoses: (1) mild stenosis, spondyleosis - L4 level, minimal annular bulging - MRI shows mild problem (2) neurologist - not neurlogical (2) back specialist - not significant problem (3) current diagnosis: pelvic misallingment :prescribed excercises, losing weight, stress reduction, wear lift in left shoe as left leg 1/2 inch shorter
Failed remedies: (1) numerous incl. pain-killers (2400 mg ibuprofen/advil, oral steroids, muscle relaxants, viox, prioxicam, (2) conventional physical therapy, including electro-stim, hot and cold packs (3) currently, pelvic misallingment therapy has worsened problem, constant pain regardless of sitting.
Description of pain: originally only when long driving, later sciatica more recently lower back when sitting now sharp in lower back/butt all times.
Q: Suggestions? own experience? Continue leg inserts/current therapy? Acupuncture? Injections? Spinal decompression? Deep tissue massage? Other?

I understand *exactly* what you are experiencing. The long drives, the sitting down -- both can be excruciating.
What has helped me are the following:
Pelvic tilts morning and night
Stretching of the outer hips by bringing leg across abdomen
ACCUPUNCTURE!!
Deep tissue massage
Hot baths
Getting up and walking
I haven%26#039;t found much relief with painkillers except for ibuprofen (which unfortunately doesn%26#039;t seem to work for you!)
Reply:i have the same problem i took vicodon and flexeril%26#039;s with motrin for three years didn%26#039;t help once i stopped the pain killers it seemed to help a little,strange but true
Reply:See a pain management speicalist. They can work with you on a pharmacological regimen that offers the most relief with the fewest side effects, as well as other modalities like nerve block, TENS unit, etc. to complement the meds. Pain docs will precribe meds that other docs are leery of, and there%26#039;s bound to be something out there that can help. Good luck, no one deserves to be in pain!

i sympathize with you as i am tending to the same problem right now myself. have had back pain for years, it got to where i needed help. finally started seeing a chiropractor... it was very hard at first after the first adjustments...the surrounding muscles were very painful for days. my pain was worse. he told me it would be that way so the warning was a good thing to know. he also suggests acupuncture in addition to seeing him, i haven%26#039;t done that yet. i strongly suggest that you get rid of the insert, for your shoe... i too have one leg shorter and was given one.. oh my the pain was excruciating from that. had all the muscles so flared up. and i also suggest no injections, their effect does not last and they have risky side effects. i hope this helped. :)
Reply:go to the dr and get a epidural--it took my pain away for my degerated discs last for quite awhile and when it wears off-get another one--Jill R
Reply:I have degenerative disc disease and am going through the same thing. It seems to be a little help there if you can get to a back specialist and see if he will inject a spinal into the back I believe it is called cortisone and it should give you at least some relief.
Yes there are some that do not get relief but its worth the try. I have been pain free most of the time with this treatment. Need the injection every 6 months, or so.
