Should I feel guilty about my Salon Experience?

I recently went to the salon with several friends to get pedicures. It turns out that we knew one of the girls working there. My friend Vanessa hates this girl and decided to make it really hard on her. First off, she made Megan remove her shoes and socks which I thought was embarrassing.

During the actual pedicure, she made snide remarks, splashed her feet and made Megan massage her feet longer. By this time, I could see she was upset, but I went along with it.

When Megan did my feet, I was a bit quiet at first, but Vanessa tried to egg me on. Finally at the end I told Megan she should kiss my feet and thank me for allowing her to clean my feet. Her face turned crimson and she looked like she was going to cry. She helped put my sandals on but did not even stay long enough for us to pay.

I feel bad about this, but my friend told me that Megan is beneath us because of her profession. Still this just did not feel right.

Should I feel guilty about my Salon Experience?
No that is just nasty and rude. I work in that profession as a makeup artist and we are sometimes not treated very nice. You went along with your friend although you feel bad now. You should listen to what your inner voice says, your gut is almost always right. How would you have liked it if someone treated you like you treated that girl? At least you seem as if you feel bad about it. Maybe you should apologize to her.
Reply:no offense, but for that i should think that you would feel beneath her. your lucky she didnt smack you across the face or something. I feel sorry for you. Disrespecting others will just come back to you in the end.

Yes. you should feel bad. very very bad. I suggest you go appologize and do something nice for the girl. something very nice. cause you were a jerk. with a capital J and all the other letters to. which makes a pretty big jerk.

Hope i helped.
Reply:no!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:only if your boyfriend paid for it ******
Reply:dear girl u should never allow anyone to lead you into something that you%26quot; know%26quot; is wrong... I don%26#039;t know the Bible . but I was taught that Jesus humbled himself to wash the feet of his followers to show us that we are all equal.....
Reply:Wow. If this happened in my shop your butts would have been out the door sooooo fast you would have gotten whiplash.

Can your friend make $400 or more in a day? Well, Megan can. So much for being %26quot;beneath%26quot; Vanessa because of her profession. Megan can not only make tons of money, but she can get a job in a salon anywhere, and doesnt even have to open up a shop to be her own boss. Plus, she pays about 1/2 of what you guys do for professional salon products (heres to paying $3 for Nexxus!) Sounds like Megans got a pretty good gig. If she ever got tired of it, her hours are probably sooooo flexible she could go to school and take any course of study she wanted.

Megan was the bigger person here. To conduct herself as Vanessa did shows how low Vanessa is. She probably has huge self esteem issues, and should seek a counselor.

You should not only feel guilty, you should feel pretty foolish about what you did. Why did you give in to peer pressure? Next time think for yourself. This was an opportunity for you to grow as a person, and set Vanessa right. Its not too late. Just remember this and follow your gut next time. Also, consider if Vanessa is worthy of being your friend. She sounds like a miserable piece of work to me.

If you really feel guilty, get another pedicure and leave nice tip.
Reply:First of all, who died and made your friend God? She%26#039;s obviously very stupid, immature person!!! (and so are you, doing what she asks)

If I were you, I%26#039;d go back to that Salon and apologize to that poor girl. You could actually ask her to be your friend. After that I would tell that idiot Vanessa to get the f**k out of my life and never show her ugly face again. She%26#039;s the lowest low life ever and doesn%26#039;t deserve ANY friends!

NOBODY is beneath anyone!!! You don%26#039;t have a right to judge anyone based on their profession. What do you think this world would be like if nobody cleaned the malls or emptied our trash. How dare you!
Reply:What you did was low. You should ask this person for forgiveness. Remember we are all equal despite race, profession or religion.
Reply:Sounds to me like both you and Vanessa need to have your butts kicked for doing, excuse me, even THINKING of doing what you did. What makes you so special? Obviously, Megan is the better person for not LOWERING herself to you or your %26quot;friends%26quot; level, and telling you both to fu** off right then and there. Just remember, %26quot;What we sow, so shall we reap%26quot;, it%26#039;s from the Bible, figure out what it means.
Reply:yes you should;(
Reply:No one is beneath anyone for their jobs, race, sex etc. That was wrong and it seems that you need new friends.
Reply:How would you have felt?
Reply:Yikes, I guess I have to refer to the old question %26quot;Would you jump off a bridge if your friend did?%26quot; Your a big girl and Megan never wronged you to the best of my knowledge, you should have been the bigger woman and be polite to her.
Reply:Megan is not beneath you due to her profession. You should feel very ashamed.
Reply:HELL, YEAH YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO PROFESSION IS BENEATH NO ONE.

IF YOU ARE GOOD A WHAT YOU DO, NO ONE SHOULD MAKE YOU FEEL BAD ABOUT IT. YOU AND THIS SO CALLED VANESSA NEED TO GO BACK AND HOPE THAT MEGAN ACCEPTS YOUR APOLOGY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:If I were you, I%26#039;d find better friends. No one should belittle someone because of thier job.
Reply:You should feel bad. She did nothing to deserve your bad treatment, and you should have refused and reprimanded your friend for being so bad.

You should go back and apologize....
