Unknown foot pain.?

Pain shoots around outer ankle down into toes, then swells there or move over top of foot. I am seeing my sixth doctor. It is not morton neuroma, nor any pinched nerve. Curculation is fine as well as bones. (doctor%26#039;s ruled all of these out.) What has helped is physical therapy... but after a week, the pain returns. Also, stretching helps sometimes. Staying off my feet really helps, as well as massaging it.

If you have any ideas, please suggest. I am in my sixth month of pain.

I was wearing tighter shoes sixth months ago, and running in them, as well as walking in them. Pain started shortly after...

Unknown foot pain.?
Do you have back pain? Sometimes arthritis in the back, herniated disc, sacroiliac dysfunction can cause pain, numbness and/or tingling to radiate down into the leg and/or foot (known as radiculopathy). I would suggest your physical therapist examine your sacroiliac and lumbar regions for possible radiculopathy. Good luck.
Reply:it really sounds like a nerve entrapment, maybe in the knee, deep peroneal nerve?? i work in podiatry office and you have several symptoms, i%26#039;m not sure what testing they did to eliminate nerve entrapment for you. i do have another route for you to try on your own, go to this great informative website, myfootshop.com. i think you will be impressed with the information available, there is also a foot discussion forum with a doctor. check it out. i pulled a few articles to see if they sound like your symptoms, if not tool around the site. use the source as a link to site
Reply:Sacrocranial Therapy might help you. I have a lot of health issues; pain in arms, legs, feet, hands etc. I have tried all kinds of therapies and meds over the years, but I did have some success with this type of therapy, it is very gentle and the improvements are subtle over time.

Good luck!
Reply:Try a Chiropodist. They can prescribe you orthotics. I had severe foot pain radiating like yours and as soon as I put on the orthotics the pain went away and my feet and legs aren%26#039;t as tired as they use to be. He suggested to me too, ice 10 minutes and then rest for 10 minutes when the swelling was there. I had to do this while I waited for my orthotics to come in. Took 4 weeks, but pain free now!
Reply:Have you had an xray of your foot? Probably a stress fracture in your foot bones.
