What could she mean?

My teacher recently told me,when we were just talking to each other about personal things, that her high heels were putting a strain on her legs. Most probably wont read into this, but I wondered what did she mean or want by saying that. I would have dismissed it if it were not for other times that she talked to me about her shoes. Another thing that I suspect was that she might have thought she saw me glancing at her legs, thinking I might be %26quot;interested.%26quot; Therefore, I felt that comment a little too personal. Did she do that hoping to get a %26quot;favor,%26quot; such as a massage, or was it for some other purpose? I just nodded my head cause i thought it was a bit awkward but i didnt want to hurt her feelings if she meant something else.

What could she mean?
I wouldn%26#039;t read too much into this. Teachers ARE people too, even though in school we sort of put them on a pedestal and feel they are beyond reproach (that is, beyond criticism). Ask yourself this:

-Has she ever done or said anything that was making you feel uncomfortable?

-Has there been a continued pattern of this behavior?

-Has she pressured you into doing something you did not feel was appropriate?

Talking about how uncomfortable her shoes are isn%26#039;t exactly something that unusual. Is it probably a bit more personal than discussing Octavian%26#039;s rise to power in Rome? Yes. But keep in mind that a lot of people, when they know someone for a while, reach a certain %26quot;comfort%26quot; level where they feel they can speak about things on a friendship level. It happens at school, in church, and at work. I would honestly look at this as a sign that your teacher feels she is comfortable with you as a friend, and not read anything more into it (unless there is evidence that she is doing something else).

We can%26#039;t always assume that any comments a teacher makes that are not strictly about school must necessarily be some sort of sexual harassment or an %26quot;intimate%26quot; interest. Give her the benefit of doubt.

Also, if she is a good friend, this should be towards your advantage. If you are in high school, I would use her as a reference writer. She can write you a good letter of recommendation for college. It is always good to not burn bridges and have friends in relatively high places.

Use your best judgment, but my own judgment, based on what you have said, is that it is completely innocent, just a sign of her comfort level with you. She doesn%26#039;t feel she has to treat you like this name on a piece of paper anymore. We%26#039;re all human, you know?
Reply:She might be obsessed by shoes or trying to flirt with you , which is disgusting
Reply:Teachers spend a lot of their time on their feet...

Don%26#039;t read into it, suggest buying a good pair with no heels

I don%26#039;t think there was anything inapropriate here
Reply:she might of wanted her feet rubbed ..... i dont know being a former teacher she might be interested
